Profession: Jewelcrafting

ewelcrafting is a manufacturing profession that relies on mining for most of it's materials. The good news is though that nothing goes to waste as a jewelcrafter can use ore, bars, stone, and of course, gems for their creations with are essentially jewelry on crack.

Jewelcrafters also get the ability to prospect ore for additional gems, so it's good to either get to a high level of mining or know someone who can supply some high end ore for good prices.

Making money in Jewelcrafting does seem to require some hawking of goods (or rather services) in the big cities. If you can cut gems a certain way, you're in business. Gems can sell decently on the auction house, though raw gems move much faster than cuts.

High level gems can cost gold to put up, so move gems in small batches (3-5). Rubies and Carnelians are generally in high demand.
